Inventor of the first computer, Pascal also developed the Triangular Law of Probability, researched topics such as air pressure, hydrodynamics, and vacuums and gave his name to the unit of measurement for pressure. His philosophical and theological writings later inspired Rousseau and the Existentialist movement.
