| 8.11.1935: Alain Delon |
 |
| Alain Delon was discovered in the late 1950s and began training immediately as an actor. Between 1958 and 1963 he was engaged to Romy Schneider, his co-star in the 1958 adaptation of a Schnitzler novella ,"Christine". Delon starred in many film noirs in the 1950s and 1960s, including "When the Woman Gets Confused", "Rocco and His Brothers", "The Leopard", "The Unvanquished" and "The Godson". With his trademark lack of emotion, Delon made a name for himself in gangster movies and crime and adventure films. Delon received many awards for his work as an actor, including the Golden Bear for his life’s work at the Berlin Film Festival in 1995. |
