28.7.1794: Robespierre is executed
The young lawyer Maximilian de Robespierre wanted to shape France’s future. In his work, "About property," from 1793 he wrote: "The kings, the aristocrats, the tyrants, whatever their nationality, are slaves revolting against the Earth’s superiority, which means they are revolting against mankind and the law-maker of the universe, nature!"
